Amanda Jowett

E: ajowett@frenkels.com.au Amanda commenced at Frenkel Partners in February 2010 with solid exposure to the justice system gleaned from five years of volunteering in a community legal centre and six months as an intern with Victoria Legal Aid. At Frenkels, Amanda now works predominantly with the Litigation team where she hopes to further her interest in appearance work and eventually specialise in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation.
Amanda was admitted to practice in August 2009.

Amanda Mond

E: amond@frenkels.com.au Amanda was admitted in December 2009 and joined Frenkel Partners in February 2010 with a background in commerce, working in bookkeeping and accounts whilst studying her law degree. Since joining the firm, she has been snapped up by the Property team and welcomes the opportunity to exercise her creativity and problem solving skills in mapping out transactions and planning outcomes for clients.
Amanda also works with the Business Law team.

Bill Lambros

Bill commenced at Frenkel Partners in May 2009 and practices predominantly in Litigation.  He also has extensive experience in Administrative Law, Crime and Appeal work, but most enjoys developing strategies to assist clients to broker solutions to contractual disputes, turning negatives to positives wherever possible.

Bill was admitted to practice in 1994 and worked for two years after his admission as a judge's associate in the County Court.

Paul Dalligan

Paul was admitted in the Supreme Court of NSW in Sydney in 1999 and made the popular move to Melbourne to join Frenkel Partners in February 2006. Paul loves a good argument and works in the Litigation team, focussing on insolvency, contractual disputes and insurance litigation.

Paul is a sports fanatic who is a Board Member of Rugby League Victoria and also appears on a weekly sports radio show on 88.3 Southern FM.

Joanna Mercer

Joanna commenced at Frenkel Partners in November 2006 practicing in Business Law. She has a particular interest in business transaction work and leasing, which give her exposure to a diversity of law and a wide community.

Prior to her legal career, Joanna worked in Human Resource Management and Hospitality, and brings all of her people and business skills to bear on her work at Frenkel Partners.

Ben Frenkel

Ben is one of the two founding partners of Frenkel Partners and has a long history of practice in Property and Estate Planning. Whilst serendipity played its part in his legal career, Ben also believes in the necessity of bringing practical good sense to the drafting of leases and wills, and enjoys the complexity of the probate process.

Ben was admitted to practice on 1 April 1960.

Kathryn Clough

Kathryn commenced at Frenkel Partners in November 2001 as an articled clerk, and was admitted in February 2003. Initially practicing predominantly in negligence and breach of contract claims, Kathryn has more recently been involved in insurance recoveries and enjoys Litigation, from drafting court documents through to negotiated settlements.

Kathryn also has a keen interest in elder law.

Anna Alevizopoulos

Anna commenced as a litigator with Frenkel Partners in September 2004, and practices predominantly in Insolvency and Litigation. She enjoys the challenge of her work and achieving commercially sensible decisions for her clients.

Anna was admitted to practice in October 2003.

Sarah Psarakis

Sarah commenced with Frenkel Partners in May 2008, having spent two years as a judge's associate in the civil trial division of the Supreme Court of Victoria. At Frenkels, Sarah puts her detailed knowledge of court procedure to good use, practicing in Litigation with a particular focus on insolvency and corporate crime, and enjoys discovering what lies beyond the corporate veil.

Sarah was admitted to practice in November 2004.

Nick Theofilakos

Nick is one of the two founding partners of Frenkel Partners and experienced in business, having set up and run a café whilst studying for his law degree. Nick was admitted in March 1994, and now practices predominately in the areas of Business Law and Litigation, with a particular interest in Insolvency.

Nick has strong client, community and staff relationships.

Michelle Frisina

Conveyancing Clerk

Michelle commenced at Frenkel Partners in March 2004, initially as a personal assistant. However, her interest and previous experience in Property Law soon drove her into the welcoming arms of the property team, where Michelle now works as a conveyancing clerk. In November 2007, Michelle became an Associate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Michelle has experience in all types of conveyancing, but a particular interest in subdivision projects.

Edward O'Brien

Ed was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in September 2007 practicing in criminal law, and relocated to Australia in October 2008 to commence with Frenkel Partners working in insurance recoveries litigation. Ed has enjoyed the change of codes, getting stuck into negotiation and achieving outcomes which meet or exceed the expectations of clients.

Ed is now working toward admission as a solicitor in Victoria.

Claudia Baskett

Claudia was admitted to practice in 1999 and commenced at Frenkel Partners in October 2009. She practices predominantly in Insolvency Law, both personal and corporate, and enjoys the technical complexity of the work, but also the opportunity it affords to add value to businesses by advising in issues from risk minimisation to internal credit procedures. Claudia also practices in commercial litigation.

Claudia became a full member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association in May 2005.

Nancy Costabile

Nancy began her career as the right arm of a sole practitioner in the suburbs, and joined the Frenkel Partners property team in May 2006 as a conveyancing clerk. Since then, Nancy has been exposed to property transactions of all kinds, but enjoys the pace, challenge and job satisfaction associated with subdivision work.

In November 2007, Nancy became an Associate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Mark Marcou

Mark came to Frenkel Partners in February 2005 as an articled clerk, having enjoyed a previous career as a partner in an accounting practice, and was admitted in March 2006. It's no surprise Mark now works on a mix of Business Law and Litigation, which enables him to use and build on past experience whilst enjoying a variety of tasks and challenges.

Mark is committed to furthering the business objectives of his clients, and negotiating sensible outcomes.

Ed joined Frenkel Partners in 2004 with a wealth of experience in property and commercial law. Prior to his arrival in Australia, Ed worked as a sole practitioner and was partner in charge of the property and commercial departments at two law firms in South Africa.

With a Bachelor of Commerce, and an LLM in International Trade Law, Ed is passionate about getting to know clients' businesses intimately and contributing to their success

Ed was admitted to practice in South Africa in 1994 and in Victoria in 2003.

Wojtek Randla

E: wrandla@frenkels.com.au Tek commenced at Frenkel Partners in June 2010, practising predominantly in Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency with a personal interest in litigation, security enforcement and banking and finance law. Tek most enjoys the evolving nature of the law and how his particular area of expertise allows him to deal in most areas of law.

Tek was admitted to practice in 2005 and worked for several years after his admission with Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Restructuring and Insolvency team at Norton Rose.
